Location of Oka Inari Shrine
Just two hours from Osaka or 1.5 hours from Kobe, you can experience traditional Japanese beauty in a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine is truly magnificent, but this Mini Fushimi Inari allows for leisurely photography sessions without the crowds.
Take the JR Kakogawa Line from either Kakogawa Station (Sanyo Line) or Tanikawa Station (Fukuchiyama Line) and get off at Kurodasho Station.
Travel time is almost the same whether you come via Kakogawa or Tanikawa from Osaka or Kyoto.
From Kobe or Sannomiya, taking the Kakogawa route is faster. See train schedules from Osaka and Sannomiya at the bottom of this page.

Walking Route from Kurodasho Station
It takes about 18–20 minutes on foot from JR Kurodasho Station to Oka Inari Shrine.
Enjoy tranquil countryside landscapes and a path along the pond.
You’ll pass by Hyosu Shrine, founded in 784.
You’ll also walk past Carpenters Kitchen, a popular café known for roast beef bowls and pancakes.
