Hyosu Shrine
A historic shrine about 5 minutes on foot from Kurodasho Station, founded in 784 before the capital moved to Heian-kyo.
The main hall was rebuilt in 1591 and features a thatched irimoya-style roof from the Azuchi-Momoyama period. At the autumn festival, traditional portable shrines and the 'Rekkei' procession take place.
The photo at the bottom right captures a JR Kakogawa Line train passing directly in front of the majestic torii gate—a striking contrast of sacred stillness and dynamic movement, making it a favorite photo spot.
Carpenters Kitchen
A popular café in a renovated traditional house, offering lunches and sweets made with local ingredients. Located between Kurodasho Station and Oka Inari Shrine.
